Meraki Moments

Hi Everyone...  The other day as I walked home from the station, I was startled from my daydream by a leaf which fluttered down right in front of me....as if to remind me that autumn had arrived..... I noticed how the leaves had started to change their colour and i t made me think of the countless leaves of previous autumns that graced our footpath every day...and the frustration of keeping our garden clean.... To be honest, I do prefer the summer months......but there's something special about gazing into a  garden filled with the rich tones of autumn and a ground covered with dancing leaves...but then there's the dreadful clean up chores which nobody wants to do..... My three girls had the enviable task of sweeping up the leaves with their dad...and they loved every minute of it.....NOT.... Hello, So I joined this online Scrapbook challenge run by CSI (Colour Stories Inspiration)  and today I completed my first challenge for CSI.... I did find it a bit of a challenge because I hadn't worked within defined parameters before....so it took me a while to finally decide what I wanted to do.... What I did like is that  the challenge forced me to work with the given set of criteria yet still gave me the freedom to create something I had never created before...so I guess it was good exercise..... Every Friday a new challenge is announced and you have 1 week to provide your evidence for the challenge. Below is the image of Case file 137 which lists what needs to be included in your design....all colours have to be used but the evidence and testimony is a choice of minimum of 2 and 1 respectively... Hi, So I had bought the new bloom girl stamps and really wanted to use them....but I didn't have anything that I needed to make... Recently, m y daughter was hogging the TV, watching back to back episodes of Vampire Diaries.....I was sooooo bored!  Then I had an idea and I took out one of my stamps and started transforming the beautiful bloom girl into a Vampire....and this was the result!

So a few months ago I came home all excited with my purchases after attending a craft show....oh how I love attending them.... Watching the artists demonstrate various techniques, I came away inspired and had such wonderful plans for these treasured items....the possibilities were endless!  Among the many purchases that I made....I had bought some wooden objects which included boxes, hearts, gears, key holders, clocks and butterflies...... And here we are....some months later and some items are still in their packages.... What happened to all the inspiration and plans that I was to eager about? Am I addicted to buying all the products for the latest craze? What is it about crafting that makes us go nuts and urges us to spend more money on the things we end up stashing away?
